Why are some hair extensions more expensive than others?

The short answer is quality, longevity, and application method. The longer answer goes much deeper, there are many grades of hair extensions that are based on country of origin. The most important factor is the processing of the hair extensions (this does not include natural virgin hair in dark colors), in order to keep extension color and texture consistent, they need to be processed. Imagine a red dress, the color barely varies, same with hair extensions. The caveat is that with less processing and the use of silicone the better the quality of the hair extensions is.  Also, the collection of hair extensions is a significant factor as well, whether the extensions are collected from one donor, multiple donors, or brushed hair.  

Application method

Human hair extensions can be applied via various attachment methods which include tape-in extensions, clip-in extensions, Keratin, Sewn-on, and Veila Hair Extensions offers Pull-thru. Applying hair extensions to your scalp takes a stylist time to attach, adjust tension, and blend the existing natural hair, color matches the extensions, and style your hair. Most hair extensions are reusable, i.e. pull-thru, wefts, and tape, therefore, making the investment in quality virgin hair will ensure your hair extensions will last up to 1 year with proper home maintenance. Purchasing extensions that are attached from Amazon is not a wise investment, and they are not esthetically pleasing since they look synthetic like "Barbie hair".
